What we build when a place needs to become a destination.

Commercial holiday lighting, large-scale decor, programmed light shows, public-space lighting, resort arrivals, and full-season service.

Elevation Holiday Lighting designs and builds seasonal environments for cities, towns, shopping centers, resorts, parks, attractions, and high-visibility commercial properties.

Not a product catalog

The right elements depend on what the place needs to become.

A downtown corridor needs a different strategy than a shopping center plaza. A resort arrival needs a different approach than a ticketed attraction. Elevation designs the lighting, decor, programming, and service plan around the place, the audience, and the seasonal goal.

Place first We start with movement, arrival, gathering, sightlines, public memory, and operational reality.
Design-build We move from concept and site strategy into technical planning, installation, service, takedown, and storage.
Public scale Our work supports towns, retail destinations, resorts, attractions, parks, and commercial properties.
Full season The display has to look good after opening night, which is why service is built into the work.

Core capability areas

Commercial holiday lighting capabilities at destination scale.

These are the building blocks we use to create seasonal environments. The final design depends on the property, budget, goals, electrical infrastructure, and the experience we are trying to create.

01

Large Decor Installations

Oversized ornaments, stars, reindeer, gift boxes, walkthrough features, illuminated sculptures, gateways, and destination photo moments.

02

Main Trees and Walkthrough Trees

Signature trees, plaza trees, rink trees, walkthrough trees, tree lighting ceremonies, and large seasonal anchors.

03

Tree and Canopy Lighting

Tree wrapping, canopy lighting, C9 canopy effects, medians, trails, pedestrian corridors, and large-scale tree programs.

04

Roofline and Architectural Lighting

Commercial rooflines, facades, lodge entries, storefronts, public buildings, resort structures, and architectural accents.

05

Programmed Light Shows

Smart lights, themed shows, music visualizers, color sequencing, spatial effects, and interactive seasonal programming.

06

07

Public-Space Lighting

Downtowns, plazas, trails, parks, medians, civic buildings, shuttle areas, access points, and community gathering zones.

08

Full-Season Service

Preventative visits, rapid response, repair, adjustment, takedown, storage, documentation, and year-over-year improvement.

How we think about capabilities

Every element should serve the experience.

A large ornament is not just decor. It is a photo moment. A roofline is not just an outline. It is arrival visibility. A trail is not just a path. It can become part of the destination.

We select and design each element around the role it plays in the whole place: how people enter, where they gather, what they photograph, how long they stay, and what they remember.

See Our Process
Arrival What should people see first from roads, parking areas, drive approaches, plazas, or pedestrian entries?
Movement Where should the lighting pull people next, and which underused areas could become more inviting?
Memory Where are the photo moments, gathering points, proposals, family traditions, and emotional peaks?
Operations What can be powered, installed, maintained, removed, stored, and improved without creating unnecessary disruption?
Longevity What will still work next season, and what should be designed for phased growth over time?

What each capability can do

Different tools for different placemaking jobs.

The same lighting element can have a different purpose depending on the property. We think about each capability through the lens of guest experience, civic value, retail value, and operational reliability.

Main Trees

Anchor a plaza, support a lighting ceremony, orient guests, and create a central seasonal landmark.

Walkthrough Features

Turn a static display into something guests can enter, photograph, share, and remember.

Tree Programs

Create continuity across streets, trails, promenades, plazas, medians, and public corridors.

Rooflines

Give architecture a clean seasonal identity and make buildings visible from key arrival points.

Large Decor

Create scale, visual drama, family photo moments, and brandable public-facing destinations.

Programmed Shows

Make the experience change over time with music, color, rhythm, themes, and repeatable public programming.

Pathway Lighting

Help people move through underused areas, trails, access points, and public pedestrian routes.

Hospitality Arrivals

Make drop-off areas, lodge entries, porte-cochères, and resort arrivals feel warm and memorable.

Portfolio examples

Capabilities proven across real projects.

The clearest way to understand the capabilities is to see how they show up in built work.

Large-scale holiday lighting in a snowy public town plaza

Town-Scale Lighting

Breckenridge shows civic-scale lighting across plazas, trees, corridors, and public gathering areas.

Holiday lighting in a pedestrian-oriented environment

Trail and Pathway Activation

The Riverwalk Trail of Lights shows how lighting can activate underused walking areas.

Retail Photo Moments

Shopping center work includes main trees, walkthrough features, Santa sets, decor, and guest moments.

People gathered in a large illuminated holiday attraction

Immersive Attractions

Camp Christmas shows lighting support for a ticketed attraction with 60,000+ paying visitors.

Overhead holiday light canopy used as visual support for programmed light shows

Programmed Light Shows

Grasso Park shows smart lights, themed shows, music visualization, and interactive programming.

Warm holiday lighting atmosphere used as visual support for resort arrivals

Resort Arrivals

Hospitality lighting supports guest arrival, lodge entries, porte-cochères, and winter atmosphere.

The capability is not the product. The capability is knowing what the place needs.

Commercial holiday lighting design-build

Why it matters

The same lights can create very different outcomes.

A tree program can make a downtown feel connected. A walkthrough feature can make a shopping center feel like a destination. A programmed show can turn a park into a winter event. A resort arrival can become the guest’s first holiday memory.

That is why Elevation designs capabilities around the place, not the other way around.

From capability to execution

Beautiful elements still need serious planning.

Every capability depends on power, access, timing, installation method, maintenance, takedown, storage, and how the display will perform in a public or commercial environment.

Site Strategy

We study the property, guest flow, public routes, focal points, existing assets, and the moments that matter.

Concept Design

We select lighting, decor, programmed elements, and visual anchors based on the project goals and site conditions.

Electrical Audit

We test power, map outlets, flag repair needs, and reduce surprises before installation begins.

Installation Planning

We plan lifts, access, staging, street impacts, tenant activity, public use, weather, and installation sequence.

Season Service

Weekly preventative service visits and rapid response help keep displays strong throughout the full season.

Takedown and Storage

We remove, organize, store, document, and prepare the program for renewal, refresh, or expansion.

Start planning early

Have a place that needs the right mix of lighting, decor, programming, and service?

Large-scale seasonal environments work best when capabilities are selected around the place, the goals, the budget, and the operational realities. Tell us about the property or public space you want to transform.
