Selected work

A portfolio built around place, not product.

Each project is designed around the environment it serves: a town center, a pedestrian corridor, a shopping destination, a resort arrival, a public park, or a full seasonal attraction.

Town of Breckenridge

A town-scale holiday lighting program designed to make downtown feel alive, welcoming, and memorable through the winter season. The work connects public plazas, downtown corridors, trees, gathering areas, and the visitor experience into one cohesive seasonal environment.

Client type Town, downtown district, public spaces
Scale 18+ miles of holiday lights
Focus Plazas, trees, canopies, corridors, visitor experience
Impact A signature winter environment for gathering and memory

Our favorite KPI: people choose these places for the moments they want to remember.

Marriage proposals as place-based impact

Town-scale lighting is not just about brightness. It is about how the whole place feels and how people move through it.

Pedestrian activation

Breckenridge Riverwalk Trail of Lights

The Riverwalk Trail of Lights was designed to increase pedestrian access, activate underutilized areas downtown, create pleasurable access points, and relieve pressure from other parts of town. This is the clearest example of holiday lighting as placemaking infrastructure.

Goal Increase pedestrian access and activate underused downtown areas
Activated area Approximately 1 mile of walking areas
Design scope 167 trees and 31,750 feet of lights
Design logic Visible access points, shuttle stops, downtown routes, and Blue River Plaza connection
Holiday lights in a pedestrian-oriented environment
A successful seasonal program can shift how people access, use, and remember a downtown corridor.

Interactive public light show

Grasso Park Lights

Grasso Park Lights turned a public park in Superior into a themed light show experience from December through March. Elevation wrapped 10 trees with more than 15,000 smart programmable lights and developed multiple themed shows with distinct color palettes and programmed effects.

Location Superior, Colorado
Scale 10 trees, 15,000+ smart programmable lights
Programming Themed shows, music visualization, color palettes, and carousel effects
Interactive features Realtime music visualizer, spatial effects, BPM synced programming
Overhead canopy of lights suggesting an immersive public lighting experience
Programmed lighting allows a public space to change mood, theme, and experience over the course of a season.

Destination shopping centers

Retail environments that give people a reason to visit.

For shopping centers and mixed-use destinations, holiday lighting is not just decor. It creates dwell time, photo moments, family rituals, tenant support, and seasonal energy across the property.

Foothills Mall Decor items, 40-foot tree lighting on rink, Santa set, and 275+ trees
Denver Premium Outlets Main 36-foot walkthrough tree and decor
Del Amo Fashion Center Large-scale retail holiday installation in Los Angeles
Design focus Photo moments, entries, promenades, trees, Santa sets, and guest flow
Shopping Center Work

Retail holiday programs work best when they create places people choose to enter, photograph, share, and revisit.

Ticketed attractions

Camp Christmas

Elevation served as lighting provider for Camp Christmas in Lakewood, Colorado, a large-scale holiday attraction with more than 60,000 paying visitors. This work shows the team’s ability to support high-traffic immersive environments where the experience has to hold up night after night.

Location Lakewood, Colorado
Attendance 60,000+ paying visitors
Environment Large-scale immersive holiday attraction
Need Reliable lighting in a guest-facing, high-volume experience
People walking through a large holiday lighting attraction
Ticketed environments require atmosphere, durability, service, and consistency across the full season.

Resorts and hospitality

Arrival experiences for mountain destinations and hospitality properties.

For resorts and hospitality clients, the first impression matters. Seasonal lighting can make an entry, porte-cochère, walkway, promenade, or lodge arrival feel distinctive before guests ever step inside.

Example Porte-cochère, Grand Lodge, Summit County, Colorado
Use case Guest arrival, resort identity, winter atmosphere
Design focus Warmth, visibility, rhythm, architectural fit, and guest memory
Operations Installation, service, takedown, storage, and year-over-year planning
Holiday lighting experience with people in a seasonal environment
Resort lighting should feel integrated with architecture, arrival, and the guest’s sense of place.
